Ruth’s Place is a unique organization, using volunteer doctors, nurses, medical students, nursing assistants, office staff, mentors, clerical help, food pantry workers, children’s programs….. Many of our volunteers also work in countries around the world helping the helpless.

Following the earthquake in Haiti, Ruth’s Place purchased and shipped to Haiti an Xray machine to assist medical relief efforts.  The Xray machine saved many limbs and lives.

Dr. Ric Bonnell and his wife Dr. Wendy Bonnell have been valuable assets to Ruth’s Place.  Deeply committed to helping children, they continue to share their medical expertise with the children of Hood County and the world.

Ruth's Place volunteer, Dr. Romeo Bachand, volunteers internationally as well.

Dr. Romeo Bachand, a retired internist, spends many volunteer hours at Ruth’s Place giving medical care to adults who would otherwise not be able to afford care.  Using donated equipment, Dr. Bachand manages to give his patients quality care.
